Posted on May 11th, 2009
Note that Census bureau workers must have the following:
Workers should not ask for person information, bank, or Social Security numbers.
Please advise that "no soliciting" signs do not apply as these workers are not soliciting and the right to conduct the census is constitutionally guaranteed.
If you have any dealings with an uncooperative or disrespectful worker, you may contact Wanda Whiting with the U.S. Census Bureau Atlanta Administrative Offices at 404.332.2738. This is not a general information number and should only be used if you have a valid complaint.
If residents wish to express any other concerns about the 2010 Census, call 301.763.4748 or visit the census Web site at: www.census.gov.
It is in the best interest of the City of Milton for as many people to be counted as possible. The census is required by the Constitution to take place every 10 years. It is used to determine how much federal money state and local governments receive, as well as representation in the U.S. House of Representatives.
